Lord, Hold My Hand

Posted on Posted in devotions

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. ” Isaiah 41:10, 13 (KJV)

When you walk with someone and grab hold of their hand, it is a way of reassuring them that you are right there with them.  While it is great to know God is with us, He takes it a step further in saying, “No matter how distant I feel to you. I’m never far away. I’m so close to you that I am holding your hand.” While we can’t feel His touch physically, God has a way of touching our hearts and minds and letting us know that everything will be alright. You can be reassured that God is with you. He cares about everything you are facing and is right there to help you get through it.  Sometimes it can be hard to see through the fog and through situations that are hard to understand. However, if you just keep walking with God, He will hold your hand and guide you through it all. He guides through His Word and in your constant awareness of His presence. He leads you through the most difficult moments of your life and into the greatest moments of your life.

Prayer: Father, thank You for being right here with me. I give you my hand to hold. Lead me through the fog in my life. Things I don’t understand, and may never understand, help me get through it into Your promised land for me. You are my strength and my guide. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A sincere thank you to our Daughters of the King Daily Devotional Writers.
