Lord, Reset Me

“In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation” 1 Peter 5:10, NLT.

On many technology devices there is a small reset button, that when pressed, restores the device to it’s original factory setting. There are seasons and times in our lives when we get so far from God’s original plan for our life. We add onto our life assignments, relationships, and tasks in the same way we load apps onto our phone. We complicate our lives with what God never intended to be in our lives. When when life gets to be overwhelming, complicated, and frustrating, we know it’s time to press reset. Let God restore you to your original place in Him. Let Him reestablish, resettle and reconfirm you. Let God reset you.

Prayer: Father God, my life has gotten away from Your original plan. I’ve added projects, relationships, tasks to complete, and all this stuff to my life that You never told me to add. Now I’m overwhelmed and frustrated. Your grace is in Your plan and I know when I stay with your plan there’s grace and peace. Lord, I pray You reset me. Bring me back to my original state and place in You. Reset my heart and breathe Your life into me today. In Jesus Name, Amen.
