Maintain a Good Attitude

” Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, to be content.” Philippians 4:11 (KJV)

You may be desperately looking for things to change in your life, but change begins with having a good attitude.  I will never forget my husband and I lived in a small two bedroom apartment with our two kids.  I worked from home and had to setup my business on the kitchen table.  There were papers, folders, toys, and bottles everywhere.  My kids were running around and I was trying to operate a professional business.   In my mind it was not working out and my attitude was not the greatest.  The Holy Spirit began to convict me and I knew that I had allowed my situation to change my attitude.  I learned that if you can’t change your situation, you must change your attitude, and God will change your situation.  Once you adjust your attitude, things may not change overnight, but you will have peace while you wait on God. You always have a choice regardless of what you are facing.  Choosing to maintain a good attitude is your way of telling God that you are thankful for what He has already done and your faith and hope is in Him. This is what gives God room to work wonders in your life.

Prayer: Father, thank You for helping my attitude.  I want to see things change and improve in my life, but I choose not to let it cause my attitude to become negative.  I choose to be thankful and stay in faith.  In Jesus name, Amen.
