“The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.” Proverbs 13:4 (NKJV)
Have you ever just sat and day dreamed? Maybe your dream is to be out of debt, to see your family all together for the holidays, to get down to a certain dress size and stay there, to own a home, to graduate from college, to travel, start a business, to have a successful women’s ministry, or to become a world-renowned author or singer. Whatever your dream may be, don’t sit and day dream for too long. While it is good to have a picture in your mind of what you want in life, you must begin to make steps towards accomplishing what you see in your heart. If God put the dream in you and told you to do it, He will provide the resources you need as you begin to move forward in it. The diligent woman doesn’t wait for funding, or for the perfect conditions, or until she receives everyone’s approval and blessing before she goes. No, she has a dream and a passion and she is diligent in seeing it become a reality. Another thing to consider is just because you are diligent in one area of your life doesn’t mean you are a diligent soul. How many people do you know that are diligent and successful in their finances, but their relationships are in ruins? They aren’t diligent souls, only diligent in a particular area. When you are a diligent soul, you are on top of every area of your life. Be diligent to know the state of your relationship with God, the state of your health, the state of your finances, the state of your marriage, the state of your children, the state of your relationships. Work towards being a diligent soul and God promises that you will be made fat, anointed and satisfied.
Prayer: Father I thank You for Word to me today. I receive it in my innermost being. I pray that You rid me of every ounce of laziness and help me to become diligent in every area of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
