Needing Him and believing Him are not the same.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

One night I had a dream that I was traveling to different countries and while in Africa I prayed for sick people who looked like they were dying. I was brought to a man and as I began praying for him, I began to cry out to God and pray in tongues. I prayed over every part of his sickly body. When I was done, I looked to see if he was healed and nothing seemed to be happening. No one I prayed for was being healed and I wondered why. I thought, “Lord, why aren’t you healing them? There’s such a great need.” Then He said, “Needing Me and believing Me are not the same.”

You may have many needs, but it’s our faith that God responds to. He says, “Without faith it is impossible to please Me.” The makings of strong and unwavering faith is not what we are believing God for, but who we believe He is. Who is God to you? And what do you believe He can and will do for you and those you pray for? In 2019, you will go from faith to faith and from glory to glory. You will become a woman of great faith who boldly believes God and takes Him at His Word. Until then, use your small mustard seed of faith to believe God to do what only He can do!

Prayer: Father God, help me believe that you are who you said you are, and you can do everything you said you can do. Make me a woman of great faith, but until then, show me how to use my mustard seed faith to move mountains and bring glory to your name. Amen.
