“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)
Determine not to spend all of your time looking at your troubles, dwelling on your pain, and thinking of how you’ve been cast down. For every pity party invite you might’ve sent out, go and get it back and say, “I’m not throwing a pity party today! I’m an overcomer through Jesus! I may be facing some challenges, but God’s going to see me through it. I’m not going to be distressed, depressed, perplexed or in despair! My God is with me and is greater than anything I’m facing right now!” Focus on your God, not on your problems. He is bigger! You may be troubled on every side, but God will provide a way out for you. You may be suffering persecution, but God is with you. You may be cast down, but you are not destroyed. If you are still breathing, God has a plan to turn what the enemy has meant for your bad around for your good. God is determined and resolute to be glorified in your life! He wants people to see how you face your challenges and say, “Wow! You must know something I don’t.” To which you can gladly respond, “No, I know Someone you don’t. Let me introduce Him to you.”
Prayer: Father, I thank You that You are with me. You are my God and I’m yours. Through every challenge I face, Your hand will guide me. You are my shelter, my rock and my confidence. I love You Lord. I refuse to throw a pity party when You have been so good to me. Let my faith bring glory to Your name. Be glorified in me. In Jesus name, Amen.
