Pain, Discomfort and Purpose

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 1:7 (KJV)

It’s no coincidence that many of the greatest songs of our time were written in someone’s day of adversity. Many classic books were written during a great trial in the writer’s life. Many millionaires were created from the harshest of economic times. If you could interview them, they might even say, “I’m thankful for what I went through. Although it was difficult, it birthed this work from me that is blessing so many.” What you are facing today may seem hard to bear, but instead of folding under the pressure, let it accomplish what it was designed to accomplish–a birthing of your purpose. You have great purpose within you. Let God birth it out of you through His process.

Father, I thank You for everything You have allowed me to face. It is birthing something so great. You have an undying love for me and great plans for my life. I trust in Your process.  I trust in You.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A sincere thank you to our Daughters of the King Daily Devotional Writers.
