Quitting is not an option.

“That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man” Ephesians 3:16

when my hands are heavy
and I feel I can’t take another step
when my head is too heavy to lift
and I’m struggling to take another breath
I will lift my hands anyway
and I will raise my head
I will take another step
and another
because that’s what Jesus did for me

Imagine Jesus carrying the cross on His shoulder. Imagine how tired He must’ve felt. Yet, He finished the work He was sent here to do. When you feel weary think about Jesus. No matter how tired and worn out you feel, quitting is not an option for you. God will renew your strength.

The Bible calls it being strengthened in our inner man. Sometimes we’re weary and we don’t understand where it’s coming from. It’s a different kind of tired. While exercise, rest and a balanced diet are all beneficial, these won’t strengthen the inner man. Only the Holy Spirit can accomplish that. When you’re lacking drive and motivation to keep going and you’re tired beyond belief, the supernatural strength of the Holy Spirit is what you need. He meets you right at the point when you feel you can’t take another step. The Lord will help you to be strong in His strength and might, not your own.

The great news is it’s only a decision away. The moment you decide you will keep going for the Lord, He will supernaturally strengthen you.

Prayer: Father, I need you to strengthen me. My hands are heavy. My feet are heavy and my head is too heavy to lift. Yet, I will lift it anyway. Let joy rise in me through all the tears and weariness. Refuel me Lord as I cry out to you. Giving up is not an option. I will finish the work you’ve sent me here to do by your strength and power. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
