Receive God’s Help!

Posted on Posted in devotions

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you” John 14:16-17, ESV.

Lift your eyes to the hills from where your help comes from. Your help comes from the Lord. He is your helper. When you’re on the verge of breaking down, and you have no one else to call, Holy Spirit is your helper. You are not helpless. You are not without support. But it’s up to you to receive the help the Father has provided to you. When you call on Him, the Spirit of God will come to your aid; He will mightily rush to your rescue. He will help you lift your hands in worship. He will help you sustain under pressure without breaking. He will help you seize every single promise that’s been made to you. He will help you breakthrough. Don’t refuse God’s help. Don’t sit there as though you don’t need His help. Jesus told His disciples it is expedient (or profitable) for you that I go away. He told them He would send another Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, and He would abide with us forever. He would guide us into all truth and show us things to come. Receive the help of the Holy Spirit of God! Receive the help of the Holy Spirit of God! Receive the help of the Holy Spirit of God! There will never be a moment when you do not need Him. Reach up and reach out your hands and say, “Holy Ghost! Lift me up! Holy Ghost! Fill my cup! Holy Spirit of God, set me free! Holy Spirit of God, strengthen me!”

Prayer: Yes, Lord! I receive the help of your precious Holy Spirit. I need your help. I can’t make it without you. I can’t do anything without you. But with you, nothing’s impossible. So I cry out, Holy Ghost heal me, strengthen me, set me free and help me to persevere by faith. Thank you Father for sending your Holy Spirit. He is precious to me. I receive His help now and forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
