Release Them

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV)

God’s deliverance must be grabbed hold of with both hands. The past must be released once and for all and He must be completely grabbed by you. Release any person you have wronged. Release anyone that has wronged you…once and for all. Release them from any debt you feel they owe, any apology you have wanted to hear, and any demand for them to show or prove anything to you. You won’t be able to hold onto God and hold on to the past too. You must choose. God’s great deliverance is like the rope that must be grabbed hold of with both hands in order to be pulled up and pulled out of that place you are in, and set in His perfect will for your life. Are you still in the mud? Are you still stuck in the past? The choice is yours as to how long you stay there. Release him. Release her. It is time to let it go and grab hold of your Lord. Put both hands on His grace, put both hands on your calling, put both hands on the plow. Forget those things that are behind you, and reach forth to things that are before you, pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. It will require all of your focus, all of you energy, and both hands.

Prayer: Oh Lord, thank You! Thank You for speaking to me. Yes, I receive that! I let go of the past. I realize I can’t hold onto You and the past too. I release that person Father. I release it and let it go once and for all. And I grab hold of You with both hands. Pull me up Lord! Pull me out! I am ready to be delivered by You! In Jesus Name, Amen.
