When Jesus spoke to Lazarus and commanded him to come forth, Lazarus had been dead for 4 whole days. By now, his body was beginning to decay. He wasn’t just dead. He was really dead. There are those of us who have dreams in our heart that we have laid to rest. Because they seemed unrealistic, unlikely to happen for us, or too great a task, we stopped talking about them. These wonderful passions that at one time would brighten our countenance, we allow others to put wet blankets over and discourage. But dreams are brought back to life by the words we speak over them. Our words keep our dreams alive. Begin to talk about the things that God has put in your heart to do. Watch your joy rise as it will seem like your dreams have already manifested. Talk about what God is going to do in you, in the lives of those around you, and through you. Eat your dreams for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Write your vision down and make it official. It’s time for your dreams to come alive again, daughter of God. God gave them to you and He WILL SURELY bring them to pass.
“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.” Psalm 37:4 (NLT)
Forgive me for laying my dreams to rest. It just seemed so big of a task. But nothing’s too big for You and I know that I’m not alone. You are with me and you have put in my hands all of the resources I need and the man power I need to get it done. I speak to my dreams and command them to live and begin to produce for me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
