Roar, sister, roar!

“But one of the twenty-four elders said to me, “Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David’s throne, has won the victory…” Revelation 5:5

Did you know that a lion’s roar can be heard by the human ear up to a five mile distance? Lions roar for different reasons such as finding other lions, rallying straying members, and proclaiming their territory. Interestingly, though, it has been discovered that only lions that are part of a tribe will roar. Fortunately for us, sister, we do belong to a tribe. The tribe of the Lion of Judah.

You belong to Jesus, the greatest Lion who has won your eternal victory. You may not have roared for a long time, feeling crippled by life’s defeats, but it’s time you stand back up on your feet. You have a roar from the Holy Spirit within, and He does not want you to be quiet and timid any longer. Proclaim your victory. Proclaim your health. Proclaim your family. Proclaim your children. What the devil has intended for harm, God will use for your good. Stop wallowing in what you believe is defeat, rise up, daughter, and return to hear your Lion’s roar. You hear Him in the distance, calling you back. He has already won the victory. The wicked run away when no one chases them, but the godly are bold as lions (Proverbs 28:1).

You are a lion, daughter, and a lion retreats before nothing (Proverbs 30:30). Fix your eyes on the Victorious One ahead of you, for He is not troubled by the wicked surrounding. He will lead you to the top. You belong to His kingdom and His tribe, He is yours, and you are His. Roar, sister, roar!

Prayer: Father, I need your strength now more than ever. I feel defeated, but I know that the Lion of Judah roars within me and for me. Give me the strength I need to get my roar back. Help me to roar and proclaim the victory I have in you. In Jesus name, Amen.
