Sidetracked? Not This Time.

Posted on Posted in devotions

To become sidetracked is to be diverted from the main issue or course you are on. Have you ever felt like you got sidetracked in life? You once were on the right course, headed in the right direction and then you looked up and realized that you were no longer where you are supposed to be? In many of our lives, our struggle is not with getting on the right path, our struggle is with remaining on it.  Somehow, many of us find ourselves off course. There was a woman in the Bible that had a severe medical problem. She had a hemorrhage that had lasted twelve years. She had spent every dime of her money going to different doctors, probably trying different medications, and when she had ran out of money, and out of options, she became desperate. She heard that Jesus was in town and she knew that He had the power to heal every kind of sickness and disease. Because of her condition, it was not lawful for her to be out in public, but she was determined to go to Jesus and touch the hem of His garment. She knew that if she touched Him that she would be made whole. She pressed through the crowd, ignored negative thoughts and the stares of others and received her miracle. Because of her desperation to receive from the Lord, she got what she longed for. Are you completely out of options? Are you desperate to see God intervene in your life and circumstance? Our desperation causes an extreme level of focus. It’s when we become desperate that we are not easily sidetracked. God wants to reveal His power to heal your body, His power to restore your relationships, His power to deliver you and set you free. Know that Jesus is in the house. He is in your heart and He wants to change your life forever!

And a woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for twelve yearsand had spent all her living upon physicians, and could not be healed by anyone,Came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His garment, and immediately her flow of blood ceased.” Luke 8:43:44 (AMP)

Father God,
I set my heart and mind on you.  I want you more than anything.  I want Your plans and Your will for my life.  Whenever I feel like I have gone off course, help me to hurry and get back on course with no delay.  I am all out of options and I am desperate to see You move in my life.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
