Sow mercy today; you may need it tomorrow!

“Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit” Galatians 6:8, NLT.

Mercy is a powerful seed. It can be planted and it can be harvested. When you give mercy away by forgiving those who have disappointed you or hurt you, you plant a seed that is sure to bring a harvest of mercy your way. Scatter mercy seed everywhere and in that day when you need mercy, you will be able to boldly go to God and remind Him of all the mercy you’ve shown and all of the people you have forgiven from the heart and He will cause you to reap bountiful mercy in your life right when you need it most.

Prayer: Dear Father, Thank You for all of the rich mercy You have shown towards me. You have forgiven me so many times and You have washed me clean of all guilt and shame. I have received mercy from You freely and I choose to freely give it away to those who have disappointed or hurt me. I choose to sow this powerful seed of mercy towards others because You have truly lavished it on me. In Jesus Name, Amen.

  1. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you…it is not a request but a command. Thank you Lord for this reminder to never forget your everlasting hand of mercy!
