It is comforting to know that God is faithful. He is faithful to His promises. He is faithful to forgive. He is faithful to not allow you to be tempted above what you are able to handle. What a faithful God! Aren’t you glad you serve a God that can be counted on? Aren’t you glad He is always there when you need Him the most? If faithfulness is a characteristic of God, it should also be a characteristic of His children. We should be the most faithful people on the planet. Yet, we are not. We stop praying when God doesn’t answer our prayer. We hop around from church to church like popcorn. We are quick to leave our spouse when things aren’t working out like we expected. We write people off when they don’t measure up to our standards. We leave, we divorce, we abandon, and we head for the hills. We leave God, people, organizations, churches, friends and our families high and dry. We are hypocrites! We claim to love a God that is faithful, yet as His children we display unfaithfulness and disloyalty. Our ways must change if we are going to have a real impact in this world. If God is truly our Father, we must act like Him. God expects faithfulness of His children. Don’t shout and rejoice about God’s faithfulness in your life if you are not going to be faithful to Him and others. Be a woman that’s loyal, dependable, and trustworthy and you will display the character of your Father.
“These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.” (Revelation 17:14 KJV)
Prayer: Father, forgive me. I repent for any unfaithfulness I have shown towards You and others. You have been so faithful to me and I am so grateful. Thank You for showing me the true meaning of faithfulness. Help me learn how to be loyal, dependable, and trustworthy just like You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
