“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might” Ephesians 6:10, ESV.
While going into the labor and delivery room to have my youngest son, I felt strong physically, mentally and spiritually. All it took for me was one push and the baby came out. That was the quickest delivery I’ve ever had because I was strong. From that experience, the Lord showed me that many believers today are weak physically. They have no energy and no strength left to go the distance. Many believers are weak mentally. They’re losing the battle in their minds and are believing everything the devil tells them. Many believers are weak spiritually. They don’t have a prayer life and they’re not meditating on God’s word like they should.
If this is you, I want you to know these times are far too dangerous for us to be weak in any area. The devil is walking around as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (see 1 Peter 5:8). Can you guess who is at the top of his list? The weak. The enemy will always come prowling around us when we haven’t been praying like we should or spending time in the Word of God like we should. It is our responsibility to do what it takes to stay strong physically, mentally and spiritually. God has given us everything we need that pertains to life and godliness. We have His Holy Spirit and we have the Word of God. Both are key in ministering strength to every area of our lives.
Prayer: Father God, I receive Your strength right now in every area of my life. Bring me to my feet and help me stand strong. Take my prayer life to another level. Give me a greater hunger for Your word. Fill me with Your Holy Ghost power and wisdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
