Stop Waiting – Go

Posted on Posted in devotions

“And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” Matthew 10:7-8, NKJV

Is there something you know you are called to do but haven’t taken the time to follow through? Is there a person that you want to share the good news of Christ with but you keep putting it off? Are you waiting on a miraculous Holy Spirit push telling you to do the job you are called to do? Are you dreaming of the day when you can go after your dreams? Are you waiting for the golden ticket to be handed to you that gives you permission to go? Stop waiting – Go!

I admit I have been guilty of waiting. Waiting for my BIG ah-ha moment to go. It is almost like I am at the start of a race, standing in a running stance, waiting for a gun to go off to tell me to go. Yes, we are told to be still in Him. Yes, we are to trust in His ways and His timing. But if your dream aligns with the word of God, why are you waiting? Stop waiting – Go!

God says, “Daughters, you have been called. I already anointed you. Your anointing is to set the captives free. Heal the sick. Raise the dead! Cure those with disease! Cast out demons! Bring light to the darkness. Bring me with you and follow your dreams! I promise if you seek me wholeheartedly, I will be there. I will give you enough grace to accomplish your mighty dreams. I want you to be a BIG dreamer because I am a BIG God. I am the God of the Universe. I am your teacher. I am enough to help you along the way. Step out in faith. You are called! Right now that thing in your heart, you know you have been putting off, waiting for me, I am telling you to step out. Stop waiting – Go! You are called.”

Challenge: Do something today, no matter how small, towards making your God-given dream a reality.

Prayer: Yes, Lord. I receive your instructions and I choose to obey you. You’ve already given me everything I need to fulfill your divine plan for my life. I receive your strength, your anointing and your grace to go. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
