Have you ever filled out a form online? After you enter all of your information there is always something required at the end in order to complete the process. You must click “submit”. All of your efforts are useless until you click this last and final button. Similarly in life, it doesn’t matter how much you have prayed, cried, and fasted about a situation, you won’t get any real results until you choose to submit to God. To submit is to obey God no matter how you feel about it. The peace you want in your life will only come through submitting to God and obeying Him. If you ever notice, the people that refuse to submit to God have the most problems with the devil. The enemy really takes them for a ride because they refuse to obey God. Don’t you know the wrath of God comes on children of disobedience (Colossians 3:6)? Don’t you know you open the door wide for the enemy to invade your life when you don’t obey God (Ephesians 4:27)? God is looking for submissive hearts that will trust and obey Him. His blessing comes on your life and He gives you peace right in the midst of it all when you are submitted to Him. There’s no time to be stubborn! You don’t have time to go a different way than what God tells you! Danger is ahead for the unsubmissive woman. You must learn how to submit to God and obey Him every step of the way! When you miss it, simply repent and get right back to obeying Him in your life and you’ll see Him show up and show out for you!
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.” (James 4:7-10 NKJV)
Prayer: Father, I submit to You. I receive Your instructions and obey them. I bind all stubborness in my heart and humble myself under Your mighty hand. Your way is the best way for me. I surrender to You and I give no place to the enemy. I trust as I submit to You that You will bless me and cause all things to work out for my good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
