“She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.” Proverbs 31:26 (KJV)
When Joseph, in the Bible, was betrayed by his brothers, he could have had them all wiped out by a single command after he was promoted. Yet he chose to honor God by showing his brothers kindness. God later honored him and used him to bless his entire family. One law that is often overlooked is the law of kindness. It’s when you bless those that curse you and do good to those that treat you spitefully. It’s a law that when obeyed brings favor in our lives and unleashes the blessings. When our ways please the Lord, God even make our enemies to be at peace with us. When we show kindness and love to someone that has hurt or offended us, we defuse the power of the enemy.
Prayer: Father, I choose to abide by the law of kindness. Just as I seek to obey natural laws, I understand I need to obey your spiritual laws also. Forgive me for every person I have hurt with my words or actions. Teach your ways and help me learn to do them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
