The Pity Party is Over!

Posted on Posted in devotions

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

For every pity party invite you might’ve sent out, go and get it back and say, “I’m not throwing a pity party today!”

You may be facing some challenges, but God’s going to see you through it. You don’t have to be distressed, depressed, perplexed or in despair. God is with you and He is greater than anything you’re facing right now.

Focus on the size of your God, rather than the size of your situation. God is bigger! He is greater! You may be troubled on every side, but God will provide a way out for you. You may be cast down, but you are not destroyed. If you are still breathing, God has a plan to turn what the enemy has meant for your bad around for your good. God is determined to be glorified in your life! He wants people to see how you face your challenges and say, “Wow! You must know something I don’t.” To which you can gladly respond, “No, I know Someone! Let me introduce Him to you.”

Prayer: Father, I thank You that You are with me. You are my God and I’m yours. Through every challenge I face, I believe Your hand will guide me. You are my shelter, you are my rock and my confidence. I love You Lord. I refuse to throw a pity party when You have been so good and faithful to me. Let my faith bring glory to Your name. Be glorified in me. In Jesus name, Amen.
