The Power of Praise

Posted on Posted in devotions

If you are in need of a sudden move of God, offer to God a sudden sacrifice of heartfelt praise.  God inhabits the praises of His people. (Psalms 22:3)  He comes on the scene when we praise Him, and everything in His hand comes along with Him.  Healing and deliverance can be received through sincere and heartfelt praise.  So much activity is created in the spirit realm when we praise God.  Angels move.  Demons run.  Walls fall down.  Addictions break.  Burdens are removed and yokes are destroyed.  Miracles happen when we praise God.  Why?  Because praise is an act of faith.  It is charged with faith, and God moves when we exercise faith in Him.  When praising God becomes our focus, we will see everything begin to line up in our lives.  Praise is more than a quiet “Thank you, Lord.”  It is an outward expression of an inward grace.  It’s an expression of faith that is more powerful than any blockage, wall, giant, or mountain that stands in our way!  If you need a miracle to suddenly take place in your life, offer to God a sudden heartfelt praise!  Glory to God!

“So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.” Joshua 6:20 (KJV)

Father God,
I offer to You my praises!  You are good, gracious, merciful, loving, and so incredibly awesome!  I open my mouth, lift my hands and give You the praise You so deserve today!  I rejoice in You and make my boast in You!  You are good and Your mercy is everlasting!  You are sovereign, alive and powerful! You are invincible, uncontainable, and mighty God!  I love You and I praise You for what You have done.  I praise You for what You are doing right now, and I rejoice over what You are about to do!  I offer to You my sacrifice of praise!  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
