The Shadow

“Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.  There came also a multitude out of the cities round about into Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.” Acts 5:15-16 (KJV)

There was so much power and anointing on the Apostle Peter that his shadow brought healing and deliverance.  How did this happen?  There are many explanations for this in scripture.  Peter acted on the Words of Jesus when He said, “Verily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12)  Bringing healing and deliverance from unclean spirits through your shadow is a “greater work”.  The great news here is this was not just for Peter or the others in the Bible, but it is for us today.  Daughter of the King, when you spend time in the presence of your King you will want to do what He did.  You will want to bring healing and deliverance everywhere you go.  Just by your very presence, you can bring life to others.  Now go and do the works of your King!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for opportunities to be used by You to bring healing and deliverance to others in the Name if Jesus.  Jesus said that I shall do His works and greater works shall I do also.  I will do just as He said with Your help and direction.  In Jesus’ Name I pray.  Amen.

A sincere thank you to our Daughters of the King Daily Devotional Writers.
