They will ask, “How can I be saved?”

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father” Matthew 5:14-16, NLT.

What will it take for your family and friends to make a quality decision for Jesus? I believe for many people in our lives it is going to take them seeing God’s work in us first. I’ll never forget my father-in-law tried to get me to sign up for a business opportunity. He laid out the plan, the earning potential and told me of all the great benefits. I listened to him go on and on sharing how this could potentially change my life if I came on board. After he was finished, I looked him in the eyes and said respectively, “Let me see it work for you first.”

You may have been preaching to your family and friends for years. You may have laid it all out to them about how God is good and how He can change their lives, but the truth is, most people don’t believe anything until they see it first. I encourage you to let God first change you from the inside out. Let them see how He blesses your marriage, impacts your children and puts you on top. Let them see how He brings you out of bondage and into His promised land. They will see firsthand how the “Product” you’ve been trying to get them to buy has changed your life completely around, and they will say, “I want to know her God! How can I be saved?”

Prayer: Thank you Lord! You are the Light of the world. Only you know how greatly I desire for my family and friends to know you personally. I want them to have a real relationship with you that they will enjoy for all eternity, and if that means you changing me first and blessing me first, then go ahead Lord. Change me. Bless me and make me a blessing. Let them see your amazing light shining through me and cause their hearts to open up to you. Save my family Lord. Save my friends. In Jesus’ name.

  1. Father God thank you for reminding me let you do the work in me first that everyone can see you in me. Lord change me that others will see your good works in me first. Father forgive me of anything that I have done that is displeasing in your eyesight in Jesus name. I need to be able to let your light shine in me at all times. Amen
