“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits…” Psalms 103:2
Here’s a challenge for you:
Sit down with a pen and paper and count your blessings. List everything the Lord has blessed you with. Write down everything you can think of.
I hadn’t done this exercise in years, but I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to do so. I began to write down everything I could think of and tears began to flow as I realized just how much God has blessed me.
It’s time to sit down and count your blessings my sister, then bless the Lord.
Prayer: Father God, I thank you for every blessing you have given me. I bless you right now. You have been gracious. I may not have all I want, but in you, I have all that I need. I bless you Lord! Help me stay reminded of your goodness and grace in my life. Help me remain thankful everyday. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.” James 1:2-4 (MSG)
When an enemy has us backed into a corner, our natural response is to either scream for help or fight back. You may have been exhausting yourself praying for God to rescue you from the trouble in your life. Understand that God’s not going to always deliver you by swooping down and rescuing you. Another meaning of the word “deliver” is to equip for the fight. Thus far, you may have only played defense in your spiritual walk, but God wants to perfect your offensive skills. Let Him teach your hands to war and train your fingers for battle (Psalms 144:1)! Your spouse and loved ones are not your enemy. Your real enemy is Satan and his wicked devices, and the great news is while we may wrestle against him, we aren’t fighting him because he is already defeated. Jesus rendered him powerless over 2,000 years ago. Until Jesus returns for His own, we are to continue to fight the good fight of faith. We are to fight with our faith, in believing that God is who He said He is and we are who He said we are!
Prayer: Father, You are mighty to save. Thank You for giving me everything I need to be victorious in my life. I receive Your strength to endure to the end and fulfill Your plan and purpose for me. Teach me how to use the tools You have given me. In Jesus Name, Amen.

“But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?” Luke 14:28, NLT
So many of us are full of dreams and desires. We want to go here, go there, do this and that. Yet, we haven’t counted the cost, and if we have, we let the cost discourage us from moving forward into it. If you’re going to do anything for God, you must first sit down and determine what is required.
Maybe it’s starting a women’s ministry, opening a small bookstore, taking on a project at work, or traveling thousands of miles to see your sister in another country. After you’ve determined that it is something God wants you to do, sit down and count the cost, and then trust God to provide.
Prayer: Father God, I thank you for your wisdom and grace. Help me to learn how to count the cost. Help me not be discouraged by the cost, but trust you to provide all that I need. Lead me by your wisdom and show me how to possess what you’ve put in me to do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God.” Hebrews 6:1
It’s a new season, my sister, and it’s a new day! God is putting the wind back in your sails. He is showing you that nothing can stop you, and no one can hinder you when God is on your side. Those old fears will not work this time. You’re in a new place in God, and it’s time to receive His grace to continue your progress in Him. If you made it this far, you could go on! Go further than your mother did! Go further than your grandmother did! Go further, my sister! You have everything you need to fulfill God’s divine purpose for your life. It’s all in you! Instead of running from problems, watch God help you face them head on. Instead of caving under pressure, watch God help you stand on His truth. Anything that held you back before will not work this time. You’re not going backward; you’re going forward!
Declare this from your heart today: “God is with me and He is for me! I am not looking back. I am moving forward in Jesus! It’s a new season for me, and it’s a new day. God’s face is shining on me, and His grace is with me. I am a woman with a vision, I am a woman on a mission, and I am a woman with a purpose. God is building me into a kingdom woman, and I am totally surrendered to Him. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
“But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high” Psalms 3:3, NIV.
The Lord is our shield. He’s our impenetrable shield. He protects us and covers us. He shelters us and we are hidden in Christ. We are hiding in His shield, not to hide in fear from the enemy, but we are hiding in His shield so that we can advance God’s kingdom and make forward steps into fulfilling His purpose for our lives. I want to encourage you today to know that no attempt from the enemy will prosper in your life. Anything he tries to do to harm you will not work. He will not be able to derail God’s plans for your life. Anything God wants to do in, around and through you will be accomplished. It is God working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight.
Be comforted today in knowing that God knows exactly what He’s doing. He’s allowing whatever He’s allowing for a divine reason, and it is all going to work out according to His divine plan. In the end, you win. In the end, you are victorious through Jesus. So no matter what you are facing right now. No matter what the enemy is trying to do, it will be a failed attempt because it is God who gives you the victory through Jesus and it is God who causes you to be triumphant through Christ.
Prayer: Hallelujah! Thank you, Lord! I am victorious through Jesus. I hide in your protective shield, not in fear, but in faith. I cover myself with Christ, and I declare that I will move forward into the divine purpose and plan you have for me. Thank you, Lord, that no weapon formed against me will prosper. Thank you that you’ve given me the victory in every area of life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it…” Revelation 3:8
“You will see the opportunities I will lay before you today. You will see every ministry opportunity, every business opportunity, and opportunities for financial increase. You will not miss it by being distracted or caught up in the cares of life. You will see clearly what I set before you and you will seize it! Says the Lord.”
“And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!” Luke 15:17
Years ago, while sitting in a mental hospital, I wondered, “How in the world did I get here?!” My life had sunk so low that I had forgotten who I was. I had forgotten why I was here. But Jesus met me in that place and He helped me.
My sister and friend, you may be wondering, “How did I get here? How did I get in this mess of a situation? How did I allow my life to get so out of control?” Maybe you don’t recognize yourself anymore and have forgotten who you are and why you are here. But Jesus will help you like He helped me. He will stoop down and will help you come to yourself. He will break the power of Satan’s lies over you and will cause His truth to penetrate through to your heart until you are reminded of who you are. He will help you remember that you have a heavenly Father who loves you, you have a family in Christ that cares, and you have a divine purpose for why you are here.
The prodigal son remembered as he came to himself, and he went straightway to his father. I pray you will do the same. I pray you go straightway to your Father. He will welcome you with open arms. He will put a ring on your finger, a crown on your head and a robe on your back. He will remove your old filthy garments, and robe you in garments fitting for a daughter of the King!
Prayer: Father God, thank you for speaking to me and for meeting me right where I am. Only you can help me come to myself. Help me God! Deliver me from this place I’m in and set me on a firm foundation in you. No matter what I go through, help me run to you and receive your loving reminder of who I am. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
