Treat People Right
“Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.” (Philippians 2:3)
There’s nothing worse than treating people who don’t have what you have differently. I know I don’t have the best shoes, but will you treat me right anyway? I know I’m not small, but will you treat me like I’m the finest thing in the building? People won’t care about how anointed you are. All that person will remember is you saved your best for someone you thought was better. You gave your best seat of love, attention, attitude, and respect to another. God can use you so mightily with ministry just by treating people right, esteeming others higher than yourself. Love people that way.
These are times where vanity and pride are flexing like muscles in people. The world is showing partiality, ranking people’s value. Don’t let this creep into your life. Remember you weren’t always a size 6. Remember you weren’t always a wealthy sister. Remember you weren’t always saved! It’s a quiet issue, but so many get hurt in this area and turn people away from wanting to know Jesus. Seek out on purpose that person in the corner or that needs a compliment. Esteem them and treat people right. We can offset the world and help people see their worth to God! They are made in God’s image and likeness, just like you! They are beautiful! God has great plans for us all!
Prayer: Father, I will not show any partiality to anyone, no matter who they are! I thank You for what you have done in my life, and I take no credit for it at all. I will treat people right, which is how You treat us all. We are all special to You and loved by You. I will esteem others higher than myself. You humbled Yourself to save us. I will humble myself to win others as well. Bless others through me! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
