“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he will direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
In today’s world, all you have to do is look around and you will see people placing their trust in government, their jobs, their ability, their smarts, etc. You name it and you will find those who place their entire trust in all things except in God. As a Daughter of the King, you know without a doubt that the only place you can afford to place your trust is in God. He is faithful to you and has always been faithful to you. His love for you has been proven out again and again without fail. So in order to keep from falling into the drum beat of trust in this world and its system, you have to on purpose put your trust in God. He is the only answer and you must not compromise. If you have compromised your trust before, then I do not have to tell you how that felt. For me, I had to literally cry out to God for deliverance from the silly mistakes I have made in this area. But as I said, God is faithful and He did deliver. What those experiences taught me though was that I could not afford to place my trust anywhere else. The cost was too high. If I am going to have His plan fulfilled in my life, I have to trust Him. If I am going to have His victory manifested in my life, I have to trust Him. If I am going to live strong for Him in every area of my life, I have to trust Him. Make a decision to trust harder, stronger and deeper than you ever have before. I promise you, you will not regret it.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I make a commitment to trust You with my life. I make a commitment to trust You with my hopes and my dreams. I know You love me and only have good in store for my life. I ask that You help me by Your Spirit not lean to my own understanding. I will acknowledge You in all my ways, even in the tiniest of decisions and I thank You for directing my paths. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
A sincere thank you to our Daughters of the King Daily Devotional Writers.
