Walk Worthy of the Lord

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.” Colossians 1:10 (KJV)

Sin separates you from God and causes you to feel unworthy of the Lord.  If you were to fill a cup, that’s worth millions of dollars, with a toxic liquid, you wouldn’t be able to use the cup until you first disposed of the liquid.  Does that make the cup worthless and unworthy?  No, it’s one of a kind and is worth millions.  It’s the toxic liquid that’s the problem.  Once you pour it out and clean the cup, you have a nice vessel to enjoy again.  Jesus took care of the sin problem a long time ago.  There’s nothing that can separate you from God’s love once you receive the sacrifice Jesus paid.  Just because you’ve lived a toxic life, been in toxic relationships, and seen toxic things, that doesn’t make you worthless and unworthy.  You are washed in the blood of Jesus and are a precious vessel unto honor.  You are His one of a kind daughter and worth so much to Him. You’ve been forgiven and made clean.  Walk worthy of Him.  When you walk worthy of the Lord, you will be fruitful in every good work.

Father, thank You for washing away all of my sins through the blood of Jesus.  Nothing’s separating us now.  I am clean.  Fill me now with Your spirit and love.  I choose to walk worthy of You and I thank You for making me fruitful in every good work.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

A sincere thank you to our Daughters of the King Daily Devotional Writers.
