“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” Psalms 23:6

What does this verse mean to you?

  1. What this verse means to me is what it plainly says, to me its a bold and confident statement. You have to make it personal. For me this verse means no matter what I face as a child of God because of grace and mercy I can make it through ANYTHING.

  2. The verse to me means that goodness (the goodness of God) mercy (the mercy of God) will “will” not if, not maybe, but an absolute fact, follow me all the days of my life, (no matter how I screw up, fail or feel) His mercy and goodness will not leave me every single day I am alive. And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever, since I have received Jesus Christ into my heart and asked Him to forgive and save me HE DID! So I will dwell in the house of the Lord certainly! Wow, can I just get this in my spirit each and every day though!!?!!

  3. In my thoughts, this verse means, if I make choices daily and live my life to honor God, He will then bless me.
I know when it’s my time to go to heaven, I will be astounded. I can only hope that I had lived my life to praise God. To have the blessing to join His house and be in heaven with my Father.
While I’m here on earth, I’ll write my story, with God guiding the pen.
