What Are You Pursuing?

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:14

Two birds are flying in the air at full speed. One bird is chasing after the other one. They fly into a private garden and end up flying right into a brick wall. All you see is dust and feathers stuck to the wall. Only chase after what God tells you to chase after. Many of us are finding ourselves pursuing what God has told us to leave alone. It always lead to destruction. God has called you out and separated you for His purpose. You can’t afford to go after anyone or anything He has clearly told you to leave alone. Maybe it’s a relationship with a guy, an old friendship with a woman, a business opportunity, or an organization. If God has said for you to leave it alone, leave it and them alone.

In my life, I chased after a friendship that God told me to let go of and it almost destroyed me. I didn’t understand why He was telling me to leave this person alone. Even when we don’t understand God’s instructions and His warnings, we must heed them anyway. He’s God and He sees and knows everything. He knows what’s best for you. Don’t risk your life because you refuse to let go of what God has warned you to let go of. Be in hot pursuit of God only and chase after Him, running at full speed to receive the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Prayer: Yes Lord. I hear You and I will do what You say. Thank You for Your wisdom. I receive it wholeheartedly. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
