Are we all daughters of God? The term “daughter” expresses relationship; this then calls for a more important question to be asked. Is God everyone’s heavenly Father? The answer is “No”. We are not His daughters until He is our Father. Although we all are created by the hand of God, the Father-daughter relationship doesn’t begin until we believe in Jesus and accept the sacrifice He paid for our sins. Without Jesus, we are like caterpillars that are destined to be butterflies, however, we die on the pavement and burn with the scorching heat of the sun. Every woman on the face of the earth are destined to be daughters of God, but we must first be reconciled to Him through Jesus. If we are not reconciled and reject Him, we die separated from Him for eternity. But if we believe, we become daughters of a mighty and loving King, and the amazing transformation of our lives can begin. God can take a messed up life and make it right. He can take you from a life of addiction, to walking in His purpose and plan. He can take you from a life of bondage, to walking in a freedom in Christ that you have never known. He can take you from a life of depression and anxiety, and transform you into someone that is full of joy and peace. No matter where you have come from, or what you have done in your past, God loves you immensely and wants to be a Father to you like you have never experienced before. You may not know the love of a natural father, but God is not like them. His love is real. It doesn’t hurt, it heals. His love doesn’t bind you, it sets you free. Are you ready to be a daughter of the King?
“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:26-29 KJV)
Prayer: Father, I believe in Jesus Christ. I repent and I receive the price He paid for my sins. I declare I am Your daughter and You are now my Father. Thank You for welcoming me in with open arms. Transform my life Lord, and help me understand who I am in You and who You are in me. Reveal to me what it means to be Your daughter and what my purpose is in the earth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
A sincere thank you to our Daughters of the King Daily Devotional Writers.
