When God Separates You

Posted on Posted in devotions

“Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.” Hebrews 5:8-9

Sometimes we can be so dependent on people, that we have too many voices and opinions in our head, and God’s voice gets crowded out. God then separates us and takes us away from what was once familiar. Outside of our comfort zone, He breaks us down to bare minimum so that He can draw us closer to Himself. His plan is to teach us obedience and total reliance on Him. You may feel uncomfortable, alone and abandoned. You may thrive on relationships, and on helping people, but when God separates you, He is preparing you for His purpose and destiny for your life. Strengthen your relationship with God. Deepen it. Draw closer. Your relationship with God is the most important relationship in your life. From it, grows a heart that is not only willing, but obedient.

Prayer: Yes Lord. Forgive me for being so dependent of people. I receive Your mercy and grace. Separate me for Your use. Teach me how to live. Bless me and use me to be a blessing. I know You are with me and I am never truly alone. In Jesus Name, Amen.
