“The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]!” Habakkuk 3:19 (Amplified)
What do you do when life seems overwhelming? When you look at the Bible, knowing you should read it, but you put it down because it looks overwhelming? When you think about all of your responsibilities and you end up doing nothing because it feels overwhelming? Or when you look at a huge mistake you’ve made and you walk away because trying to correct it feels overwhelming? Life can seem pretty daunting at times. But be reminded that no matter how you feel, you can do all things through Christ which gives you strength (Philippians 4:13). The enemy loves to make us feel like grasshoppers in front of a giant mistake, a giant calling, or a giant responsibility. He gets a kick out of watching our faces turn pale at the sight of something that looks too big. But no matter how big something seems, you can do it! God is your Strength! The Lord is your Help! In the Bible, there was Joshua and Caleb who teamed up to take the land that God had given the people of Israel. Today, there is you and Holy Spirit. Team up with Him and He will help you do what you can’t do in your own strength. He will teach you, equip you, guide you and grace you with supernatural ability. You don’t have to be super intelligent when you have Holy Spirit. You don’t have to be incredibly strong when He is with you. Receive His help. He won’t force you. Feel His nudge to let Him help you in your life, in your relationships, on your job, with that situation. Let God’s angelic host aid you, His Spirit help you, let His Word work for you, and His Name move things out of your way! Life isn’t too big, it just feels that way sometimes. God is so much bigger than anything you will ever face and He lives in you.
Prayer: Father God, I cry out to You for help. I need Your help more today than I ever have in my life. Help me in every area of my life. I receive the help of Your Holy Spirit. Help me Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
