When You Know Your God

“…but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32b

While hiding in a cave, the Lord asked the prophet Elijah, “What are you doing here Elijah?” He had just called down fire from heaven and had proven all of the prophets of Baal to be false. However, fear of Jezebel’s death threat had caused him to run for his life. In this day and time, there are people under the influence of a demonic Jezebel spirit whose number one goal is to bring down mighty men and women of God and send them on the run. But the Bible promises, they that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits. Jezebel tried to wipe out all of the prophets, but she couldn’t kill the prophet Elijah. No matter who or what is coming against you, you will be strong and do exploits! When you know your God, no one will be able to unseat you from your rightful position and place.  No one will be able to succeed in ruining you, and absolutely nothing the enemy tries will work in your life! Do you know Him? Do you know who you are in Him? Do you know Who He is in you? It’s vitally important that you know. The kind of knowledge that strengthens you, empowers you, revitalizes you, and makes you fit for God’s use is not a knowledge that comes from a mental experience with doctrine, but it is a pure knowledge that only comes from a heart relationship with the Father.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your hand upon my life. Thank You for the knowledge I have of You and for the relationship we have. Help me to stay sober and vigilant against the enemy’s devices and extra sensitive to Your Spirit. Because I know You, I declare I am strong and will continue to do exploits for Your glory!  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

(Read 1 Kings 18:20 – 19:15)
