When you pray together.

Posted on Posted in devotions

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].” James 5:16, Amplified

The greatest gift you can offer to others is your heartfelt and sincere prayers. This serves a dual purpose, it connects right away with God and also shows others how much you love and care about them.

When you pray with your family and friends, several things will happen: God will prompt you of any wrong you’ve done to each other and will instruct you to ask forgiveness, He will strengthen your bond, He will cause the enemy to flee, and He will bring supernatural peace. Join hands and come into agreement with God and His will.

The relationship you want and need is in your time of prayer. It is true, the fervent prayers of a righteous man avails much.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for the victory we have in Christ and the power of agreement. Help us put aside how we feel and our personal agendas to focus on what matters most to you. Help us to remember that our prayers together are powerful. Help us make a commitment to come together consistently to pray. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
