When you’re in the dark.

“The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” Psalms 119:130

I was in the dark
no light coming in
sitting in
my own ignorance
Jesus save me
Jesus help me
Jesus rescue me
Jesus can you hear me?
I’m crying out
I can’t feel my legs
they aren’t running like they use to
I can’t feel my hands
they aren’t reaching out like they use to
I can’t feel my mouth
it’s not speaking like it use to
I’m paralyzed by fear
stuck with no idea of how to escape
but in this despairing place
I hear you say
You are my shepherd
I will not want
you make me to lie down in green pastures
you lead me beside still waters
you restore my soul
your words become mine
your words
whispered from my lips
become mine
and slowly
my hope rises
your words give me life
all was dark
but you turned on the light
you turned on the
within me

God knows where you are. He knows how to find you. Others may not understand, but God does. When everything looks dark around you and no light is coming in, God will say a word that will lighten your darkness. The entrance of His word gives light. He gives understanding to the simple. Let hope rise in your heart as God whispers His word into your ears. That word may be, “No weapon.” It may be, “Be still and no that I’m God.” It may be, “I am your rock and your firm foundation.” Or it may be, “Trust Me.”

Whatever God has spoken to you, hold on to it for dear life. It will be light for you and will help you see your way out. It will carry you to the safest place you can ever be, called the “Perfect Will of God”.

Prayer: Thank you Father for speaking life into my heart. I grab hold of it and won’t let go. Save me. Heal me. Deliver me. Rescue me. You are my loving Father who gives light when things are dark. I love you and I love your life giving word. In Jesus name, Amen.
