“No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised” Romans 4:20-21, ESV.
I don’t know the power of God’s love and mercy until I make a complete mess of things. I don’t know the power God’s light until I walk through the darkest valleys of my life. I don’t know Him to be a true friend until someone I love leaves me. I don’t fully realize He lives in me until I am pressed unimaginably. It is my daily sufferings that give me hope. It is my experiences that cause my faith to grow.
It is not our light that makes us beautiful, it is our struggle, and our determination to not let our light die.
The Bible says, “…we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us” (see Romans 5:3-5).
What you are going through right now may not feel good and it may not look good, but my sister know that it’s working for your good. Let it grow you and deepen your faith. People may be saying, “Where’s her God now?!”, but God will show up and reveal that is He is your God and He is on your side! It’s not over for you. Be deeply encouraged and filled with hope! God will be glorified in your life!
Prayer: Father, I thank You for Your promise to me. It’s an honor to know You and an honor to be called by You. Thank You for being with me through every trial. Continue to grow my faith and help me to trust You more. Be glorified in my life. In Jesus name, Amen.
