“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Revelation 4:11 (KJV)
Standing in church with our hands lifted high, we are focused on worshipping our Father God. On our mind is who He is and all that He has done. However, if anyone was to watch our lives before that moment of worship, they would see whether we are truly worshiping God. Our worship is more than a “Hallelujah” and “Thank You Jesus.” Our worship comes from our lives. It’s when we worship Him with our minds as we think on things that please Him. We worship Him in our hearts when we choose not to hold on to unforgiveness. We worship God in our finances when we are a blessing and when we pay our debts. We worship God in our relationships when we choose to be the best wife, mother, and friend we can be. Choosing to treat people right no matter how we are treated is an act of worship. When we move forward in fulfilling our purpose and walking in our calling, that’s true worship. We worship God when we show up on time. We worship God when we use our mouth to speak life rather than death. We worship Him with our bodies when we abstain from sexual sin and when we eat things that are good for our health. Let us seek to worship God with all of our being. This is true worship and it is most fitting for a mighty and holy King.
Prayer: Father, I make a decision to worship You, not just with my mouth but with my life. You deserve my true worship. Be pleased with my offering to You everyday I live. In Jesus name, Amen.
