You Are Never Too Far

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.” (Luke 15:4-5 KJV)

The most miserable person on the planet is the backslidden Christian.  Someone who at one point in time experienced God’s glory and goodness, but turned away and have fallen from grace.  The relationship they once had with God and the intimacy they once knew feels long gone and they don’t know how or if they’ll ever get it back.  Feelings of guilt, shame and condemnation torment them constantly.  They are stuck between two worlds, feeling unworthy as a Christian and standing out like a sore thumb in the world.  However, thank God He has a heart for those that have fallen. He loves you and with open arms welcomes you.  You are never too far that God can’t reach you.  You have never sunk so low that God can’t get to you and pull you up and set you back in right standing with Him.  He knows where you are and all you must do is reach out to Him.  Cry out to Him and He will save you.  The blood of Jesus will wash you clean from all sin and shame and His love will embrace you.  You are never too far.

Prayer:  Father, I run to You! Forgive me for turning away from You and cleanse me with the blood of Jesus.  I denounce the worldly lifestyle and I choose You.  Restore my relationship with You and grow me up in the things pertaining to You.  Thank You for receiving me and loving me.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A sincere thank you to our Daughters of the King Daily Devotional Writers.
