You are Worth It

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

One evening, my son told me that he would kill himself. I grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him close to me. I wanted a memory to be etched in his mind forever if that thought was to ever return. I wanted him to remember my plea, my face, my love, my hand holding his shirt. So pulling him to me, I said, “Would you kill your sister?” He cried with tears in his eyes and tears in mine, “No”. I continued, “Would you kill your brother?” He cried, “No.” “Would you kill me?” I asked. He replied, “No.” “So why would you kill you? You are worth living too.” We then hugged tightly and I went into my room, closed the door and cried. I had attempted to take my life years prior, but God rescued me, and here I was trying to convince my son that his life was worth living. In that moment, God comforted my heart and said, “Yes, you are worth it.”

You may not see your worth, but God does. He does. He does. He does. Before you were born, God was thinking about how the sacrifice of Jesus would bring you close to Himself. He was thinking about how He would make you complete in Him. You are worth it all. Receive His love. Let it pour into every place in your heart. Let it wash over every negative thought, let it destroy every stronghold in your mind, and heal every heartache. Let His love flood every fiber of your being, causing warm peace and joy to enter in. You are worth it.

Speak this from your heart today: “I am worth it. I am special to God. I am so loved by Him. No matter the mistakes I’ve made, I am forgiven and washed from all unrighteousness by the blood of Jesus. I receive His love, His mercy and His righteousness. Thank You Lord for rescuing me and loving me. I surrender to You.”
