Your Soul is Fine

“That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate.”        1 Timothy 6:18

Have you ever spent an entire day cleaning your house even though you knew it was already clean?  It can’t get any cleaner, yet you mop the floors again, you dust again, and wipe everything down again.  You could have easily gone outside and felt the sun’s warmth or the cool breeze.  You could have gone to visit a loved one and brightened their day, yet you chose to spend the entire day pampering your beautiful and clean house.  Many of us are pampering our saved souls.  Instead of doing anything outside of ourselves, we spend the entire day praying, repenting, worshipping, and crying at the feet of Jesus. We spend all of our day reading our bibles, quoting scripture and saying daily bible confessions.  Jesus has been made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. He is our salvation.  We can’t get anymore holy than we already are.  We can’t get anymore saved than we already are.  We can’t get anymore righteous than we already are.  Your soul is fine, now is the time to go and do the work that God has called you to do.  It is time to be a blessing, to be a light in a dark world, to win someone to The Lord and to make disciples.  Come out of your prayer closet and find creative ways to share the love God has richly given you.  Get outside of yourself and pampering your life, and experience a life that is rich in good works.

Prayer:  Father God, thank You for Your rich words to me.  I receive them deep in my heart.  Help me begin to live the life You created me to live and do the work You have called me to do.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
