Your story is complete in Christ!

“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” John 19:30

“And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.” Colossians 2:10

One Sunday a man of God that I admire greatly asked me an important question. He said, “Do you know the end of your story? The final chapter?” He saw this young woman trying desperately to come out of bondage and pursue God’s calling on her life. Then, he said, “You will know you’re ready when you can answer that question.”

I thought to myself, “Of course I know the end of my story. I’m going to do this and I’m going to do that for God’s glory.” It wasn’t until God began to renew my mind as I spent time in His Word and in prayer. He began to teach me by His Spirit that the end of my story is victory, not because of me, but because of the finished work of Christ. He removed all of the questioning, the doubt and uncertainty I was experiencing about my future as He taught me to place all of my confidence in Jesus. I learned that my story is already finished, and it’s already written by the ink of Christ’ blood. My entire life is complete in Him.

So it is with you, my sister.

Your story is finished because of the finished work of Christ. You don’t have to fear the unknown. You don’t have to wrestle in uncertainty. You can rest in knowing Jesus overcame death, hell and the grave and He defeated the works of Satan over 2,000 years ago on the cross. He purchased you with His precious blood, He redeemed your past and secured your future so that you can live out your present days in victory and in total freedom in Christ!

Let the Spirit of the LORD lead you through His Word and show you what He accomplished for you. Let Him remove all of the fear and uncertainty that you’ve been experiencing and make your life complete. The end of your story is victory because of Jesus, not because of you. Your story is complete in Christ! When you begin to wrap your heart and mind around this divine truth and receive understanding of the finished work of Christ, you are ready to walk in your purpose and fulfill your destiny by God’s grace and power!

  1. Powerful word! Powerful devotional! “Victory” is the word the Lord has been speaking to me. Thank you for reminding me how I am free in Christ because I am complete in Him!
