Your Words Are Powerful

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”  Hebrews 11:3

In the beginning God said, “Let there be light” and there was light.  He spoke and it was.  We are made in God’s image with the words of our mouth.  In fact, what we see today is a result of the words we spoke yesterday.  If we want to change what we see, we must change what we are saying.  No matter what your feelings say, no matter what people say, no matter what the devil says, only what God says about you matters.  What God has said, that’s what we are to speak.  Paul said, “I believe, therefore, I speak.” We believe, therefore, we speak.  No more, “I’m not strong enough”, “I’m such a loser”, “I can’t do anything right”, “I’m not good enough”, “I’m just too old”, “I’m too young and inexperienced”, “The way it looks, I’m never getting married”…No more self-defeating talk!  You have the power to be, the power to do, the power to have, the power to go!  God has given you power to decree a thing and watch it come to pass, just as you said it would.

When you feel those fearful and doubtful words arriving to the tip of your lips, don’t open the gate to release them.  Instead, say, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.  I will live and not die that I might declare God’s wonderful works.  I am who God says I am, I have what God says I have, and I will do, by God’s grace, everything God said I will do.  I am a winner through Christ.  I am blessed by God and highly favored!  God loves me and He has my back!” And leave it at that.  If you keep talking like that, your words will frame your world and set great things in motion for you.

Prayer:  Father God, forgive me for every fearful or doubtful word I have spoken.  I cancel any words of fear and doubt that I have released from my mouth, and I speak faith and life.  Thank You that Your strength is made perfect in my weakness.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
