God wants you to exhibit His joy!

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Romans 15:13

All over the world there are women who are trying to display a joyful attitude, but they are crying on the inside. They’re trying to be happy, but just aren’t feeling it. Understand that joy is supernatural. It comes as a result of knowing who God is and being thankful for all He’s done. Joy is more than a feeling, it’s a knowing that everything is going to be alright because God is good.

In the New Testament, the word “joy” means cheerfulness or a calm delight. Because you know Jesus, you can be cheerful and calm. Because you know you are blessed, you can have joy. You may not feel like you have a right to be cheerful with everything that’s going on around you. But God wants you to exhibit His joy…especially during these times! Give yourself permission to be happy. People around you need to see the joy of the Lord and want what you have. They need to see how someone can be genuinely cheerful and calm in the midst of adverse circumstances.

Tap into His joy today by faith. Drink from His well. See how blessed you are to know Him and let His joy fill your heart. His joy will refresh your soul and will give you the strength you need!

Prayer: Father, You are my sunshine! You are my joy! Because I have You, I have joy! I tap into Your joy right now in Jesus name. I give myself permission to be happy. You have been good to me and I am thankful. I receive Your joy flowing in my heart like a river right now. In Jesus name, Amen.

  1. For the Joy of the Lord is our strength
Keeping a smile on your face and praising your way out regardless of the circumstances gets us the victory and confuses the enemy. True Joy can not be found in this world only through Jesus Christ and he takes delight in giving his Joy to us. ” O taste and see that the Lord is good and blessed is the man that trust in him” Psalm 34:8

  2. This is truly from the heart and speaks volumes. Once each of us can get to that quiet place within and allow God’s WORD & love to exist.. each of can whether the storm(s) like Job. Praising your way through will only enable God to be even more wonderous in your life. Thank you for this special devotion.
